Frequently Asked Questions About the OKTAV Violin App
What is included in an OKTAV subscription?
Your subscription gives you full access to all sheet music and books. It also includes the complete OKTAV Piano offering, which requires a separate app download.
After creating a free account, you can choose between a monthly and an annual subscription. Plans that include a seven-day free trial will not be charged during the trial period and can be cancelled at any time. If you cancel, your access ends immediately. Once the trial has ended, you will be charged for the plan you selected.
How often is new content added to the app?
We are constantly expanding our app library, with new content added every week.
Can I purchase individual pieces of sheet music in the app?
Individual pieces cannot currently be purchased separately. All sheet music and books are available as part of an OKTAV subscription.
Can I print sheet music, and how does printing work?
A monthly OKTAV subscription includes two printouts per month, while an annual subscription includes 24 printouts per year. You can print sheet music directly from the sheet music player.
On which platforms is OKTAV available?
The OKTAV violin app is available for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets and can be downloaded free of charge. Our website currently offers piano content only, but violin content is already in development.
To use the app, your device must be running iOS 17 or later or Android 11 or later.
When will I be charged for my OKTAV subscription?
After choosing a subscription, enter your payment details or confirm the purchase in the app. New customers are charged after the seven-day free trial. Discounted offers may be charged immediately, but this will always be clearly stated before you subscribe.
Do OKTAV subscriptions renew automatically?
Yes. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
If your subscription includes a seven-day free trial, you can cancel during the trial at no charge. Otherwise, it automatically becomes a paid subscription when the trial ends.
Paid subscriptions renew at the end of each billing period. You can cancel at any time, and your access will continue until the end of the period you have already paid for.
How can I cancel my OKTAV subscription?
If you cancel during a seven-day free trial, your access ends immediately. All paid subscriptions remain active until the end of the current billing period.
You can cancel your OKTAV subscription in just a few clicks from the app settings. The cancellation is applied immediately, but you can reverse it before the subscription ends if you change your mind.
Which payment methods does OKTAV accept?
Payments are processed using the payment method linked to your App Store or Google Play account.
Can I switch between monthly and annual subscriptions?
Yes. Plan changes take effect at the end of your current billing period. You can switch from an annual to a monthly subscription during the final month of your annual plan.
