Video Editor / Cutter (w/w/d)

Part-time (20h/week), Linz (on-site)


About the role:

OKTAV creates modern piano learning content: interactive sheet music, video-based learning, and courses filmed in our own studio. To help us turn raw studio footage into polished lessons and content for YouTube and social media, we’re looking for a Video Editor / Cutter in Linz, 20 hours per week.

  • Cut and edit piano courses from multi-camera footage filmed in our studio for the OKTAV platform
  • Adapt existing footage for different channels, e.g.YouTube (long-form edits, intros/outros, thumbnails-ready pacing)
  • Social media (short-form cuts, hooks, captions, vertical formats, trend-aware pacing)
  • Sync and manage multi-cam timelines (incl. .braw workflows) in DaVinci Resolve
  • Add simple inserts/overlays (e.g., on-screen notes, chapter titles, callouts)
  • Ensure clean pacing, structure, and continuity across lessons
  • Basic audio cleanup (levels, noise reduction) and consistent export settings
  • Operate camera gear in the studio and shoot content (setup, recording, basic troubleshooting)
  • Organize footage and deliverables reliably (file naming, versions, exports)

Your experience:

  • Solid experience with DaVinci Resolve
  • Especially multi-cam setups and working with .braw files
  • Know-how in channel-specific editing (platform content vs. YouTube vs. social) — you understand that each format has different rules
  • German + English (spoken and written)
  • Confidence handling camera gear and recording in a studio environmentReliable, structured way of working with large files and production routines
  • Bonus: Sheet music reading skills and/or you play an instrumentYou’re based in Linz (this role is on-site)
